Job Summary
Baptist Health is seeking to add an Emergency Department Technician to the
Emergency Department at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This is a full-time night shift opportunity.
Assists Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department with patient care and daily healthcare needs. Responsibilities include supporting activities of daily living, maintaining a safe patient environment, collecting lab specimens, monitoring intake and output, and documenting in the electronic medical record. Works under the supervision of an RN to help ensure quality patient care and efficient Emergency Department operations.
Emergency Department Technician Job Responsibilities:
Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living.
Maintaining a safe environment.
Collecting lab specimens.
Intake and Output monitoring.
Electronic medical record documentation.
Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Education & Credential Requirements:
High School Diploma Required
Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Licensed EMT or CNA Required
