Float Pool Medical Assistant, Primary Care, Full-Time, Days

Baptist Health is looking to add a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care Float Pool in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday opportunity with varying shift schedules based on the needs of the department.

The ideal candidate will provide clinical support to physicians by obtaining vital signs, rooming and chaperoning patients, maintaining medical records, scheduling tests and follow-up care, and processing prescriptions and referrals. As part of the Baptist Primary Care Float Pool, the role requires flexibility to work across multiple locations and assist with daily patient-care needs.

Medical Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Provides nursing assistance to physician

• Obtains vital signs

• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit

• Maintains medical documentation

• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician

• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Experience Requirements:

• 2 Years Patient Care Experience

• Experience in Physician's office

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma Required

• Associate of Arts/Science Preferred ​

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
