Baptist Health is seeking a motivated individual to join the Baptist team as a Health Unit Coordinator on the Med-Surg Unit. This Health Unit Coordinator role is a Full-Time Days opportunity, working 36 hours per week with shifts of 7:00am-7:00pm and is located at Baptist Nassau in Fernandina Beach, FL.

We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have confidence working in a clerical role. Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs) are responsible for secretarial activities of the nursing unit.

Health Unit Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

  • Answering call lights and phone calls promptly
  • Ordering and taking inventory of unit supplies and equipment
  • Maintaining patient chart folders
  • Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
  • Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Health Unit Coordinator Experience:

  • 1-2 years of Experience working in a health care setting preferred

Education:

  • HSD required

  • Associate of Science preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
