Language Interpreter, PRN

Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently hiring a Spanish/English Language Interpreter in our Office of Interpreting Service at Baptist Hospital located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN opportunity.

This position may also involve over-the-phone interpretation and sight translation of documents.

As a Language Interpreter, you will be responsible for:

• Clearly and accurately interpreting between target language and source language for caregivers and patients/companions who have limited proficiency in English.
• This position may involve over-the-phone interpretation and sight translation of documents.
• You will work with a diverse group of people across the entire health system, working with numerous cultures. The interpreters are respected and they work in a great tight knit environment!
• Must have 3-5 years Interpreting experience
• Highly preferred to have Medical Translater Certificate

Experience Requirements:

• Three-Five Years Interpreting Experience Required
• Three-Five Years Foreign Language Experience Required

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma Required
