Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Lead Surgical Technologist to support our Main OR Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Nassau. This is a Full-time Days position, 40 hours a week working Monday through Friday and will require call. This position will be over specific service lines, this could include GYN, Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Colo-rectal, and Podiatry.
As a Lead Surgical Technologist for the Main OR, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:
- Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
- Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly
- Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
- Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
- Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
- OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
