Job Summary

**$500 Sign on Bonus for Eligible Candidates**

Baptist MD Anderson is currently hiring for a Medical Assistant to join our Medical Oncology team. This is a PRN opportunity. This position is ideal for candidates who are available 3–4 days per week and want to make a difference while maintaining a flexible work schedule. Shifts will be between Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This position is required to travel to BMDA Downtown, BMDA South and BMDA Clay as needed.

Medical Assistant (MA), Outpatient Oncology Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides nursing assistance to physician
  • Obtains vital signs
  • Greets and chaperons patients during medical visit
  • Responsible for telephone triage and patient education
  • Maintains medical documentation
  • Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests, per physician
  • Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals
  • Cross trains in front office, referrals area, and other areas

Experience

  • 2 years Patient Care Experience
  • Experience in Physician's office

License and Certification
