Medical Assistant, Primary Care, Days, Nassau Crossing and Callahan

Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Primary Care Department for our Nassau Crossing and Callahan location. This is a Full-Time Days opportunity Monday through Friday. Some travel to other locations is required when needed.

This position is for the Baptist Primary Care Nassau Crossing and Callahan office. The candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties. Experience is a plus.

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Provides nursing assistance to physician
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• 3-5 Years Experience working in a Medical Office Preferred
• 2 years Medical Assistant Experience Preferred

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
