Occupational Therapist, PRN, Acute Care Rehab

Job Summary

*Up to $1,000 Sign on Bonus*

Baptist Medical Center hiring an Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Care Rehab Team at Baptist Medical Center, located in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN position which will provide coverage for at least 3 Day shifts per month and participate in a weekend coverage rotation.

The Occupational Therapist will support the Rehab Team by working with a multidisciplinary team in an acute care setting. Caseload includes various diagnoses - neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medical.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and treats patients in an adult acute care setting.
• Provides minimal outpatient care, mainly for neuro patients and upper extremity wounds (job competency training available).
• Works in a team environment with other Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Provides ongoing patient and family education.
• Works with multidisciplinary teams outside of Rehab Services (hospitalists, physician specialists, nursing, and social services.)

Experience Requirements:

• 1 or more years of Acute Care Occupational Therapist experience strongly preferred

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy Required
• Licensed Occupational Therapist from FL Department of Health Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Required
