Job Summary

Baptist Health is seeking to add a Paramedic to our Emergency Department at Baptist Medical Center South located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity.

At Baptist Health, a Paramedic in the Emergency Department plays a key role in supporting patient care and ensuring timely, compassionate service during critical moments. The Paramedic works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist with patient assessments, treatment, and documentation in a fast-paced hospital environment.

As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting RNs in providing care to patients with urgent and emergent healthcare needs.

• Supporting activities of daily living and maintaining a safe patient environment.

• Collecting and labeling lab specimens accurately.

• Monitoring and recording patient intake and output.

• Documenting all patient care and observations in the electronic medical record.

• Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.

An active Florida Paramedic license required.

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• Less than 1 year Hospital Experience Required
• Less than 1 year Trasnport Medicine Setting Experience Required
• Less than 1 year Patient Care Experience Required

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Incident Command system (ICS) 300, 400 Preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Paramedic Required
