Patient Access Representative II, Baptist Medical Group Call Center, Baptist Southbank Plaza

Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days Patient Access Rep II at our Southbank Plaza location here in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is a full-time day shift position Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

This position is in a call center environment. In this position they will be taking full ownership of the tasks related to this position and provides successful outcomes that will enhance the reputation of Baptist Health and ensures a first positive impression from a patient experience perspective.

Patient Access Representative II, Job Responsibilities:

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Experience Requirements:

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare experience preferred
• 1-2 years Insurance experience preferred

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma Required
