Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Care Rehab team at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Downtown Jacksonville. This is a Full-Time position which will have a caseload particularly emphasizing NICU support.
The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will support the Acute Care Rehab team, evaluating and treating patients with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and medical diagnoses. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a pediatric acute care setting supporting a multidisciplinary team as well as experience with patient and family education.
Pediatric Occupational Therapist, Acute Care Rehab Department, Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluates and treats patients with neurological, orthopedic, and medical diagnoses.
- Extensive patient/family education.
- Works with multidisciplinary team care.
- In-services interdisciplinary team members and hospital staff
Experience Requirements:
- 1 or more year(s) Pediatric Acute Care Experience Strongly Preferred
- 1 or more year(s) NICU Experience Strongly Preferred
- Orthopedics Experience
- Developmental Experience
- Neuro Experience
Education & Credential Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy Required
- Licensed Physical Therapist from FL Department of Health Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Required
