Job Summary
Baptist Health is currently looking for a Pediatric Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy department at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This is a Full-time, opportunity working Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and rotating every fourth weekend.

The Infectious Disease Pharmacist will lead our System Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) and collaborate closely with the physician ASP lead to promote the judicious use of antimicrobials, optimize patient outcomes, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
As a Pharmacist you will be responsible for:
Provide expert pharmaceutical care with a focus on infectious diseases and antimicrobial therapy for all pediatric patient populations.
Develop, implement, and monitor antimicrobial stewardship initiatives to improve prescribing practices and reduce antimicrobial resistance.
Review and verify medication orders with accuracy and efficiency.
Perform prospective and retrospective antimicrobial utilization reviews, pharmacokinetic monitoring, and clinical interventions.
Serve as a consultant to physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding infectious disease pharmacotherapy.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and participate on hospital committees relevant to infectious diseases and medication safety.
Support investigational drug studies involving anti-infective agents and contribute to related research and quality-improvement projects.
Participate in the teaching programs of Wolfson Children's Hospital, Baptist Medical Center and Baptist Health, including the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, PGY-2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency and student preceptorships for affiliated Colleges of Pharmacy.
