Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently looking to add a Registered IV Admix Pharmacy Technician to our team at Baptist Medical Center Beaches which is located in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This is a PRN opportunity working various shifts. This IV technician will be responsible for filling our Omincell automated dispensing cabinet, delivering medications to different floors, and packaging medications in the central pharmacy. This pharmacy technician will also be spending 3-4 hours in the IV room making sterile compounds. At Baptist Beaches, our IV techs play a crucial role in the preparation and delivery of sterile medications administered via IV to patients. IV techs work closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure safe and timely medication therapy—often for critical care, surgery, oncology, or intensive care patients.

As an IV Admix Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Pharmacist on duty.
  • Compounding of IV admixtures.
  • Filling automated dispensing cabinets and unit-dose medication orders and envelopes.
  • Basic reconstitution of oral suspensions.
  • Packaging of medications.

All activities will be under the supervision of a Florida-licensed Pharmacist.

A PTCB certification is a plus but not required. Hospital and IV room experience is required.
