Physical Therapy Assistant, PRN, Acute Care Rehab

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Physical Therapy Assistant to our Acute Care Rehab team in downtown Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN position. PRN employees are expected to work at least 3 shifts per month. Weekday and weekend shift coverage expected with flexible scheduling.

We are looking to add a Physical Therapy Assistant to our adult acute care rehab services team. Caseload includes various diagnoses - neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medical. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in treating patients in an acute care setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy services to patients, as prescribed by the attending physician, in order to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
• Participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities.
• Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines.
• Participate in mandatory education and licensure requirements.

Experience requirements:

• At least 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant Experience in the Acute Care setting strongly Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Associate degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy Assistant Required
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant from FL Department of Health Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Required
