Job Summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Clay in Fleming Island, Florida. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Day shift with a commitment of 36 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are 7:00AM-7:00PM.

Baptist Emergency at Clay provides residents of Clay County and surrounding communities with convenient access to high-quality emergency care. The facility is designed to deliver efficient treatment for urgent and emergent medical needs in a patient-centered environment.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be Responsible for: • Providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition;• Embracing and upholding the hospital mission statement;• Educating patients and families to their disease process and plan of care;• Interacting with physicians and other departments within the hospital;• Coordinating care provided by ancillary services;• Acting as the patient advocate;• Participating in staff meetings and other unit activities.

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Experience• 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience• Telemetry Experience• Emergency Services Experience• Hospital Experience

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Education• Associate of Science in Nursing Required• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Licenses and Certifications• Licensed Registered Nurse Required• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred• Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs• PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.
