Job Summary
Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Beaches Hospital in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This is a PRN opportunity working Day shift with a commitment of 6 shifts per 6 weeks. Scheduled shifts are 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
Baptist Beaches Hospital provides residents and visitors of the Jacksonville beach communities with convenient access to comprehensive emergency care close to home. The Emergency Department treats a broad range of conditions and plays a critical role in supporting the coastal community.
Registered Nurse, Job Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
- Act as the patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
Experience Requirements:
- 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
- Emergency Department Experience Preferred
- Hospital Experience
- Telemetry Experience
Education & Credential Requirements:
- Associate of Science in Nursing Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred
- Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred
- Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs• PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.
