Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking to add a Registered Nurse to our Emergency Department at Baptist Emergency Room Oakleaf. This is a PRN night shift opportunity.

As a Registered Nurse you will be Responsible for:

  • Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
  • Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
  • Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
  • Act as the patient advocate
  • Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Experience

  • 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Telemetry Experience
  • Emergency Services Experience
  • Hospital Experience

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Education

  • • Associate of Science in Nursing Required
  • • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Licenses and Certifications

  • • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
  • • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • • Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred
  • • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
  • • NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred
  • • Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.*Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.
