Registered Nurse, Internal Traveler, Neuro OR, Full-Time, Weekends, Baptist Downtown

Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking for a Registered Nurse who has at least 2 years of experience in the Operating Room as a circulating nurse. This is a short-term contracted position requiring a commitment of 36-40 hrs./week for 12-13 weeks.

The Neuro Operating Room has 5 OR Suites, 2 IR Suites, and was built with state-of-the-art technology including intraoperative CT and MRI. This is a Full-time, Weekends opportunity. This role requires call with a 40-minute response time and qualifies for competitive call and differential pay.

Registered Nurse, Job Responsibilities

• Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement
• Organize and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel
• Coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
• Including patients and significant other (SO)/ families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Educate patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
• The surgical teams perform Neurosurgery cases as well as Neuroendovascular cases

Experience Requirements:

• 2 years’ Operating Room Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Associate of Science in Nursing Required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
