As a Registered Nurse, you will be Responsible for:

  • You will practice within a professional nursing framework that promotes evidence-based care, shared governance, and advocacy.
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical, surgical, and emergent conditions
  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, timely, and compassionate care aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care
  • Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring dignity, respect, and individualized care
  • Coordinate care with ancillary and support services to promote efficiency and continuity
  • Participate in unit-based meetings, quality initiatives, and professional development activities, supporting a culture of excellence

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Experience• 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience• Emergency Department Experience Preferred• Hospital Experience• Telemetry Experience

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Education• Associate of Science in Nursing Required• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Licenses and Certifications• Licensed Registered Nurse Required• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred• Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
