Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Reid Outpatient OR at Baptist Jacksonville. This position is a Full-time Days opportunity working Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 6:30pm with no call, no holidays, and no weekends!
As a Sterile Processing Tech, your responsibilities include:
- Understanding principles of sterilization.
- Wraping instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
- Able to prioritize duties.
- Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform
- Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays
Experience Requirements:
- 1-2 years Instrument Experience
- Less than 1 year Central Processing Experience
- Linen Processing Experience
Education & Credential Requirements:
- High School Diploma Required
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
- None
