Surgical Technologist, Reid Outpatient Center, PRN, Baptist Downtown

Job Summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center REID Outpatient Center . This is a PRN Various shift position. This Surgical Technologist position does not have a call requirement, and the candidate would not work nights, weekends, or holidays.

As a Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities include:

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures

• Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly

• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments

• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety

• Participate in the required call rotation

Experience Requirements:

• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Associate's degree required or equivalent experience in lieu of education.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.
