Baptist Health is the recipient of five 2020 eHealthcare Leadership Awards from Plain-English Health Care, a publishing organization that distinguishes outstanding, cutting-edge digital initiatives at health care systems. Each award acknowledges integral digital design, development and communications efforts that have been critical to helping health care organizations provide comprehensive care and manage the well-being of patients.

“It is now more important than ever to ensure that our community can access reliable, trustworthy health care resources,” said Ted Fligor, vice president of digital health services at Baptist Health. “These awards are a reflection of our patient-centered approach to online information. In the past year, we have improved site navigation, highlighted key service lines and reimagined page layouts to enhance visual appeal, helping connect patients with care as we continue to reimagine and improve the consumer health care experience.”

Wolfson Children’s Hospital earned three Platinum level awards for Best Site Design, Best Mobile Website and Best Internet Home Page. Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center and Baptist Health received Gold level awards in the Best Internet Home Page and Best Mobile Website categories, respectively. With these awards, Baptist Health joins a select group of around 200 health care systems chosen from nearly 1,000 entries that were honored for creating model health care-related websites.
