Baptist Health opens emergency center for adults and children at its new SilverLeaf Medical Campus

Those living in and around the SilverLeaf area now have more choice for emergency care with the opening of the Baptist & Wolfson Emergency Room (ER) at SilverLeaf. The new facility provides expert, 24/7 adult and pediatric emergency care close to home to support families when the unexpected happens.

The ER is part of the Baptist SilverLeaf Medical Campus, which also provides primary care, neurology, orthopedics, rehabilitation services, cardiology, laboratory services and a Wellness Center.

Approximately 1.02 million people currently reside within a 30-minute drive of this area of St. Johns County, which is projected to grow 9.3% by 2031. Together, the ER and outpatient preventative services available at the new Baptist SilverLeaf Medical Campus offer a convenient, connected care experience for everyone in this growing region.

Emergency services for the whole family

The new emergency center at SilverLeaf is part of Baptist Health’s comprehensive, regional network of emergency care. Its specially trained emergency department clinicians are prepared to care patients of all ages, from infants to adults.

For families in the SilverLeaf area, the ER brings the specialized expertise of Wolfson Children’s Hospital closer to home. As part of Wolfson Children’s Hospital’s emergency network, the center is backed by the region’s only full-service children’s hospital and Northeast Florida’s only state-designated, American College of Surgeons (ACS)-verified Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. Its pediatric protocols and specially trained emergency teams help ensure children receive the right level of care, even when serious conditions start with symptoms that seem minor.

The emergency center also houses an imaging center for adults and children, outfitted with the latest technology to provide X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and other essential diagnostic services.

Baptist SilverLeaf Medical Campus is a new, convenient health care hub in St. Johns County, offering quality preventive and specialty care to those living and working in the area.
