Baptist Health opens three clinics inside Walgreens stores in the Jacksonville area

Jacksonville, FL

As part of a continued goal to improve the overall health of the communities of northeast Florida, Baptist Health has opened three Baptist Health Clinic at Walgreens locations.

The retail health clinics, which were previously managed by Walgreens, are now operated by Baptist Health which continues a strategic relationship announced last year between the organizations to enhance accessible and affordable patient care.

The clinics complement Baptist’s extensive primary care and urgent care network with extended hours 7 days a week, convenient online scheduling and same-day access to a variety of health care services. Patients can be seen by a Baptist Health nurse practitioner and pick up a prescription in the same visit.

"We are positioning for the future of health care delivery," said Hugh Greene, president and CEO of Baptist Health. "This collaboration expands the points of access into our health system and provides greater convenience and continuity of care to today’s health care consumer."
