Baptist Health’s executive vice president named as an operations leader to know
Becker’s Hospital Review recognized Matthew A. Zuino on its 75-strong list of hospital and health care chief operating officers.

Matthew A. Zuino, MSIS, FACHE, executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) of Baptist Health, was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review on its 75-strong list of “Hospital and health system COOs to know” for 2023.
The publication honored these individuals for their highly strategic approaches to leading the “ideation, development and implementation of initiatives that enhance operational efficiency at their organizations.”
Zuino has more than 25 years of leadership experience within the health care industry. He joined Baptist Health in July 2017 as president of Physician Integration, where he was responsible for the recruitment, integration and retention of an employed provider group consisting of more than 420 physicians and 200 nurse practitioners and physician assistants. He assumed his current position in January 2020.
Baptist Health is North Florida’s largest nonprofit health system and one of the area’s largest private employers. It is a thriving, community-focused health system that delivers high-quality care and services. As COO, Zuino provides the strategic direction, leadership oversight and accountability for the integrated system, which spans more than 200 points of care and includes nearly 2,000 providers who care for around 750,000 members of the community each year.
