Baptist Jacksonville at the top nationally for comprehensive women’s services

Jacksonville, FL

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is being recognized for its exemplary health care services to women.

Baptist Jacksonville is listed in Becker's Hospital Review 2017 edition of its list of 100 Hospitals and Health Systems with Great Women's Health Programs.

The hospitals included offer award-winning care to women in a variety of specialties, including gynecology, obstetrics, women-focused heart care and women-focused cancer care, according to Becker's Hospital Review.

“This recognition is a testament to the collaborative and comprehensive approach of our physicians and nursing colleagues to provide the highest clinical and quality care for women,” said Michael Mayo, hospital president for Baptist Jacksonville.

The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected hospitals for inclusion based on analysis of several ranking and award agencies, including national rankings and awards received from several institutions, including U.S. News & World Report national and regional rankings for gynecology, CareChex rankings for women's health care, women's health Healthgrades awards, Women's Choice Award's Best Breast Centers list and Baby-Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA, the accrediting body for the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative in the U.S.

Baptist Jacksonville and Baptist Health also now provides a new program called 4her, a unique collection of wellness services, focused on women. Some of those services include health coaching, health education classes and workshops at our Y Healthy Living Centers and a 904.202.4her (4437) phone number where navigation experts assist women by connecting them to Baptist Health providers, programs and services.
