Bringing health information together: New patient portal upgrade now available to Baptist Health patients

Baptist Health, including Wolfson Children’s Hospital, has a new upgrade available for their digital patient portal called MyChart Central. The feature allows patients to access all MyChart accounts from different health care providers using one set of credentials.

“Upgrading to MyChart Central makes it easier for our patients to stay connected to their health information, no matter where they have received care,” said Aaron Miri, DHA, FCHIME, CHCIO, EVP and Chief Digital and Information Officer at Baptist Health. “Many people in our community have MyChart accounts from more than one health system, or they may have moved to Jacksonville after having used MyChart elsewhere. With this new centralization, all those records come together in one place, giving patients a more complete view of their care and helping them share information seamlessly with their providers.”

As part of the gradual nationwide rollout of MyChart Central, patients will benefit from:

• One login. Patients can access all their MyChart accounts from different health care providers using one set of credentials.
• Synced profile information. When patients need to update contact information including email, phone or address, they can change it one time in one place and sync across all linked organizations.
• Centralized care view. Health information from multiple organizations will now live in one central location, eliminating the need to check several portals.
• Helpful features. Patients will still be able to view test results, make appointments, pay bills and more through the app.

Baptist Health follows several other health care organizations in Florida who have MyChart Central available, including Nemours Children’s Health, a trusted collaborator of Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Now, parents/guardians will be able to access their child’s records from both Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Nemours Children’s Health with one login.
