Pamela Rama, MD, joins Baptist Medical Center Beaches Board of Directors

Pamela Rama, MD, has been elected to Baptist Medical Center Beaches Board of Directors. Dr. Rama is a cardiologist with Baptist Heart Specialists who has been practicing at Baptist Beaches for 23 years.

In addition to her clinical practice with Baptist Heart Specialists, Dr. Rama has served as chief of staff and medical director of Cardiac Rehabilitation for Baptist Beaches. She is also a trustee of the Baptist Health Foundation, serves on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association-Greater Southeast Affiliate, and is the former president of the First Coast Metro American Heart Association.

Dr. Rama is passionate about working with female patients and helping them improve their heart health. She is a founder of the Baptist Health Women in Medicine group and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American College of Cardiology, Florida Chapter.

Earlier this November, Dr. Rama was honored in Prague after being chosen as one of the Most Influential Filipinas in the World, which honors Filipina women who are changing the face of leadership in their local communities and in their adopted countries.

“We look forward to the knowledge and expertise Dr. Rama will bring to the governing body of Baptist Medical Center Beaches,” said Hospital President Jarret Dreicer. “We are honored she is volunteering her time and talent to help us continue to meet the health care needs of our growing beaches community.” Dr. Rama will serve a three-year term.
