As a general rule I have had no problems checking in with my provider but yesterday was an exception. When I arrived at the workstation the receptionist was on the phone and another patient was ahead of me in line. This lady made a comment that receptionist had been on phone for ten minutes and she was still waiting to be checked in. We stood there more time waiting and another receptionist called us over to check us in. She was kind and helpful and brought us our paperwork. I arrived before the appointed time to be checked in so I expected to wait; however, my appoint time was at 2:00 and at 2:30 I still had not been called back and others that had checked in after me had been called back. So not knowing if they were using another provider I waited a while longer. After that I decided to check with receptionist and was asked if I had my paperwork and I told her I did. She said she would contact them in back to let them know I was there. I was called back to begin my appointment. I'm sorry for the miscommunication but just wanted to address the issue to prevent problems in future. I highly recommend your services to everyone I talk with concerning treatment. Dr. Buckley and Nurse Brooke are great. Thanks for listening and all the wonderful help I have received.

Dr. Stephen Buckley has been my oncologist for going on nine years now, and he is the best! I started out with him when I was diagnosed with my first ovarian cancer in 2015. I've endured this terrible disease two more times since then and Dr. Buckley has taken care of me the same as he did the first time back in March 2015, with knowledge, caring, and kindness. He listens when you talk. If you are needing someone to care for you during one of the most vulnerable times in your life this is who you want to do it. He represents MD Anderson at its best!!

My telehealth visit was not rushed, and took place at the schedule appointment time. Dr. Buckley answered all my questions and concerns and is such a valued practitioner. I feel very fortunate to have been referred to him and that he was my surgeon for three procedures. The telehealth visit was flawless without any technical issues. MD Anderson is always first Rate, top notch in every aspect of care. As a nurse, I am thankful for the expertise and constantly recommend the facility to others regardless of the fact that it is out of the Tampa Bay Area. I wish they had a facility in Tampa Bay!

The clinical care is beyond competent; clearly outstanding. My surgical outcome was incredible, I went home the day of surgery, and did not need to take any pain management meds. My procedure was done by Dr. Stephen Buckley via DaVinci robot, with Debra Motycka, PA-C attending. Four months later I have zero complications. All of the treatment team including the support "front office" staff do their jobs well and joyfully. Communication with me and consultations on my behalf are done swiftly and well. The Epic MyChart phone app helps me keep track of everything. The building the Baptist MDAnderson Center in Jacksonville operates within is beautifully designed and decorated (thank you, donors). The waiting areas are comfortable allowing patients to speak to one another or sit quietly alone according to their needs. We often encourage one another. I am a skeptical person, and I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the GYN Oncology department. They remove stress and replace it with the best medicine has to offer. I won the cancer treatment Powerball lottery. Lucky me.

The doctors and staff were very professional and personable. Dr. Buckly took time to introduce certain associates, as well as himself. He also took time to actually talk WITH me (not TO me) for a few minutes before the exam, as this was my first visit. This gave him the opportunity to get to know me as an individual and for me to get to know him as well. He was open to any questions before and after the exam. Other staff members were just as friendly and cordial, as well as professional, answering any questions I had and making me feel like I was "part of the family." Sadly, many doctors today really do not take time to get to know their patients, to listen to the patient, or to make them feel like what they have to say is important. I feel that is due in part to the fact that patient visits are restricted to a specific amount of time, which I understand has to be done. But too often, the patient is just pushed through and treated more like a number than a human being. I am happy to say that I was not treated like this, and I am truly happy to have found Dr. Buckley and his staff.

The coordinator, Yolanda was so nice, caring and helpful. The view and atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. Unfortunately, I waited two hours for my appointment with the dr. I checked in on second floor with Yolanda at 1:20. I went to the desk twice to ask how much longer and was told anytime now. When I was finally called back at 3:30 and the dr came in he immediately explained that the front desk staff had gone to lunch and my file had gotten lost under a pile on the desk.

I felt that every aspect of of my first visit had been set up with patient care and comfort in mind. The parking garage was close enough to the building to be accessible by a handicapped person. First contact with an employee was very welcoming and informative. All additional employees were extremely friendly and well-trained.I was walked from one point to another point by an employee. The building itself was peaceful and beautiful with artwork on every floor I visited. All the things I have mentioned are important to me and I had rarely experienced any of this thoughtfulness. My doctor visit was professional and informative. Dr. Buckley is positive and encouraging when he discusses a treatment plan. I believe that all these factors are important in choosing a health care provider that is patient-centered.

I loved everything about my care. Dr. Buckley was incredible- so knowledgeable, patient, not rushed at all, thoughtfully answered all my many questions, was very clear about treatment options and risks and benefits, did a very thorough exam. His nurse navigator stopped in to introduce herself as well. The registration process was great. Also I was very impressed with the support services I was told about. The waiting times were short. Brianna, the person who did my intake for Dr. Buckley was wonderful- including taking me back to a room right away due to my immunocompromised state. Everyone was really conscientious about my immunocompromised condition. The setting was very peaceful- the lovely lobby with the atrium and the beautiful artwork and light. The amazing water view from the upper floors. All very soothing. The prayer that came over the loudspeaker when I was waiting in lobby really touched my heart. Working with Brooke and Maymie ahead of my visit was seamless- they both were incredibly helpful. Also having Dr. Buckley's nurse navigator (Michelle?) and registration person (Millicent?) call me the day ahead to tell me what to expect and answer any questions really put me at ease. The woman who was at the Covid screening was also very cheerful. Everyone was so compassionate and kind. All ran so smoothly. I would highly recommend Baptist MD Anderson Medical Center to anyone!!

I was so impressed with the efficiency of the cancer center and the oncology department. Each staff person I came in contact with was professional, friendly, and helpful.
