I submitted a previous complain about my experience in the Phlebotomy / Oncology blood work Unit. I have photos of my bruised arms and would be glad to submit it. Y'all need to train your staff in drawing blood on hard stick patients, as I've been experiencing disappointment the last three years. I get my blood drawn every 6 months and going thru uncharacteristically failed blood drawing is not I can tolerate. Thank you!

The entire staff is wonderful, from check-in to check-out. Dr Sri is always very engaged and is prepared for the appointment before he walks in. He always goes above and beyond in making sure I???m getting to the right doctors to receive excellent care outside of his area of expertise, I just can???t say enough nice things about him and his team and the level of care they provide each and every time I???m there.

You can improve your services by getting rid of Zuberi. If I had wanted to be treated by sub-par oncologists, I would have gone to UF. I chose MDAnderson in 2018 because I was told that this facility would operate under the same guidelines as Houston. In the beginning, it did. My first oncologist was fantastic. I am now on my 3rd oncologist, who reviews my record before seeing me. However, he is not an outside-the-box thinker and very much does what the protocol says (especially if it's outside his specialty) to do and does not attend breast conferences to stay on top of the ever-changing breast cancer treatments. I have learned since my journey began, that oncologists fill in the gap in their specialty by treating other cancers that are more prevalent (i.e. breast cancer). In my opinion, this does not give the patient the absolute best care.

The entire staff is wonderful. Caring and professional. The pre-check-in makes it easier when you arrive for your appointment. There's never a long wait. Dr. Sriv makes sure to explain everything to me about my lab results and addresses any questions I have. When my appointment is completed Dr. Sriv escorts me to the check-out area and stays with me until a staff member can help me. On one of my visits, while I was being weighed in, etc, a Code of some kind was called and the nurse/CNA? immediately jumped up to go to the patient in the waiting area. She apologized as she left. When she came back she apologized profusely again. I told her I appreciated that she responded immediately because that's the level of care I would want for myself. When Dr. Sriv came into the exam room he also apologized and said he responded to the emergency. I told him the same thing I told the nurse/CNA.

Hematology at MD Anderson.is simply amazing. Dr. Sri and Alison, his RN, are but a phone call away if I encounter any problems and they are informed, caring and totally into my care when visiting. They are the best and I am so fortunate to be in their care. On another note, all of the staff at MD Anderson has been totally caring, responsive, knowledgeable and available. Lucky am I to receive such amazing care!!

The entire experience was a great one! Everyone was kind and professional and I'm very appreciative for the opportunity to see Dr. Sri. The nurses that administers my infusions has been compassionate and caring. One has shared with me her journey and that really is was encouraging. Looking for an Hematology/Oncology MD, Specialised in Multiple Myeloma verty resently I was initially recomended by a Baptist/Andrson Oficer Navigator to an Oncology Md. The Dr. and I we had a initial meeting, and I got the very strong feeling that he is not patient enough and a listener. Most of the time he does the talking, not leaving room for me to explain anything, forgetting notes that I have written, and getting confused. I want to start by saying I respect my MO and his staff. They are all very professional and friendly. However, when I was removed from the breast clinic because I pointed out the inadequacies of one of the breast oncologists and the lead breast oncologist was leaving, I was the one who was put at risk. This is unacceptable. To be clear, my current MO is professional. However, he does not stay informed enough on breast health issues. My case has not been a straightforward case. Its complications have led to my not having as robust of a response as they had wanted in the beginning and now with the mutation at hand, he is not versed enough in integrative medicines to be of assistance. When I started my journey with MDAnderson Jacksonville in 2018, I was told there was to be an integrative department and it would be ready to take patients in 2020, just as I was finishing with traditional medicines. That did not happen. I have worked with a naturopathic doctor on supplements and lifestyle changes, but not in conjunction with taking traditional medicines at the same time. I was told by my current MO to not take any supplements and was referred to an off-site Naturopathic Oncologist at the cost of $5,000 for six months. If MDAnderson had implemented this department as I was promised, I would not have had to reach out to Houston.

The doctor was dismissive of my symptoms. He made vast assumptions about me prior to asking me a single question. Despite my abnormal lab results, significant past medical history (for cancer and other comorbid diseases), and my current ongoing symptoms, he was extremely arrogant in his opinion that my results were incidental. Following my appointment, I saw my primary care physician who informed me that ???anyone with a medical degree should be able to see that there is something serious going on,??? and they strongly encouraged me to seek a second opinion. I will be seeking care elsewhere. Additionally, upon reading the doctor???s office note, I am furious to see that his documentation is inaccurate. My pain score was documented as a 3/10, when I explicitly stated that I have severe pain in my hip and back that causes difficulty walking ??? I rated it a 7/10, which I reported to both the nurse and the physician. The visit was almost over by the time Dr. Sri asked me the first question about how I feel and what my symptoms are, and he only asked because I interrupted him to tell him that he was incorrect in his description of my symptoms. I am so disappointed, because many people told me that Dr. Sri is the best of the best, yet he treated me so dismissively. If he is the best, and that was how I was treated, I don???t want to know how other physicians in the practice treat their patients. There is nothing to make things right. I have been so oppressed by the healthcare system throughout my life that I have come to expect this behavior from physicians who have been practicing for a long time, because they take one look at me and assume I am healthy because I am young. My symptoms are dismissed, and I am the one left to suffer and navigate the system alone without answers. I am highly disappointed to report that Dr. Sri did not uphold the reputation I expected of him. He expressed no concern for my well-being, and that is far from the standard I would expect of someone so respected.

Everyone in the office is so nice and I LOVE Dr. Shi! He is super and such a wonderful person and doctor. I'm so glad that I decided to continue to stay on yearly as his patient and I won't let him to EVER leave. (SMILE) The only thing I don't like is not being able to pay my co-pay right away. I don't like the way Baptist Medical Center is now doing business with paying. online and not being able to get an invoice stating exactly why I was there and not just getting a piece of paper only showing the money amount I've paid. NOT GOOD! I want my bills put in the USPS and "mailed" to me; not someone calling and saying I own "X" amount of money. I WANT a bill in the mail before I pay!

The administrative staff one initially deals with were truly nice, without any attitudes, or unfriendly behavior - I felt kindness and smiles. This is so needed when one has to come to MD Anderson for the first time. I am very grateful for the nice warm staff, it helped my mindset so so much! Please keep up your training to bring this about, it honestly makes an enormous difference to patients in this arena. The forced scheduling with the patient adviser was very unsatisfactory and unnecessary. I was told to be there at 7:30 am and my Patient Adviser came to get me at 8:05. They offered me nothing I did not know and should not have been a prerequisite to see the DR first. It should have been held off to see if I did indeed have an issue that the Anderson Cooper Oncology had to handle. the meeting should be after appt with DR for people with insurance. On the good side, my physician was excellent. I just did not appreciate the unnecessary "hoop jumping" and would not recommend it for anyone else.

The most caring professional staff I have ever encountered as a patient and a health care professional for over 30!years. Considering 1st visit explains billing & payment in detail, easily understood. ???Preparing a pt. on what to expect instead of assuming they are familiar with modern office protocol certainly is a Must.??? I liked my new doctor and he took the time to explain to me all about my CLL and that was very enlightening. It really meant a lot to me and I'm so glad I decided to make an appointment for this year. I found out too that he had worked with Dr. Top and even took the time to show me some pictures of her and her family in Oregon. He is SOOOOO Nice and I really do like him and I do plan on returning next year.

Doctor is very thorough and communicates well. He is involved and listens. People followup on a timely basis. Only issue came when a CT was canceled and the scheduler did not communicate this fact. Luckily the procedure was able to be done the next day. I still think someone should walk around the Lab and MRI,CT desk areas. People leave to bring back breakfast at desk, cannot seem to process paperwork very quickly, and some people drawing blood do 1 for every three another person completes, while observed on their phone. Need walk around supervisors.

The only complaint that I have is the lab at building number 2...I sat for 1 hour and a half this past Monday and another hour on Wed...maybe you need to review your check in system and hire a few people that are a little more ambitious! Or better yet, have a phlebotomy at MD Anderson

A medical emergency occurred with another patient while my vitals were being taken. The medical staff member working with me apologized and said she needed to help with the patient. My Doctor also went to the waiting area to help with the patient. A different staff person came to the cubicle I was in and completed taking my vitals and asking me questions after apologizing about the situation. As she was getting ready to escort me to a room my original staff member came back. Again she apologized and took me to the room. As soon as Dr. Srinivasan came to my room he apologized for the interruption. I told all of the staff I had an interaction with that I appreciated the care they took of the patient in distress. The level of caring, action, and professionalism exhibited by these staff members was comforting to me knowing that if I was in a similar situation I would be in the best hands possible. Dr. Srinivasan went over my test results, talked to me about medical needs, and ensured I understood what the results of the blood work indicated. I am very happy with Dr. Srinivasan and would recommend him to anyone who needed to see a hematologist/oncologist.

Every doctor, nurse, and administrative assistant have been wonderful! The entire team at MD Anderson Baptist South and Baptist Downtown are welcoming, knowledgeable, resourceful, and most importantly patient centered. Communication to the patient is clear and timely. It is clear the team cares as demonstrated by their attention to detail and quick patient response time. The collaboration between the different oncological disciplines are seamless which is reassuring and comforting to the patient. At MD Anderson Cancer Center, being treated like a cancer patient really means being treated like royalty where you receive the highest quality of care from the entire staff.

The organized way of providing care. I still retain my original Baptist Cancer Treatment Binder. The facilities. Parking ease. Check in, vitals and Dr. consult, to check out. No long waits, care is provided as scheduled. Primary care Dr. Harrison, Oncologist, Dr Srinivasan, and my pharmacy working well together coordinating my treatments.
