Caring and knowledgeable doctor and staff. You feel like you are the doctor???s only patient and never feel rushed. The doctor encourages my questions and is truly concerned about my welfare and any decisions being made. My whole team is deducted to my care. The site is conveniently located with free parking. The site is bright and clean. All staff wear a friendly smile and seem genuinely concerned about me. I highly recommend Dr. McCormick and his team along with Baptist MD Anderson downtown.

Dr. McCormick is a fantastic urologist. He not only has top notch clinical expertise, but also possesses the rare traits of caring and having compassion for his patients. I became his patient after experiencing a post op surgical complication (resulting in an infection) that a urologist at another hospital was not able to correctly diagnose. Dr. McCormick was immediately able to make the correct diagnosis to help resolve a very complicated problem. If not for his astute medical judgement and treatment guidance, I might have had a very negative outcome. MD Anderson Baptist Hospital is very fortunate to have a physician of his caliber on their staff. Again, I am very fortunate to have him as my urologist.

The day prior to my last appointment I received a reminder call for my 11:30 appointment with Dr. Barrette McCormick. They informed me to bring the lab report for my blood work. I informed them that I was scheduled for blood work at your lab 9:00 am. They informed me that I would need to be at the lab at 8:00 am so the results could be available for the 11:30 appointment. When I arrived at the 8:15 am I was told that I wasn't scheduled for lab work. After 15 minutes they were able to get the orders for the lab. When I met with Dr. McCormick he did not have the lab report. He said he would call me in the PM or Friday am after he got the report. i called twice on Friday and was told that the report was not done. On Monday Dr. McCormick called me with the results. Because it is a 140 mile drive from my home I have requested to have the blood work done at a local Quest lab. The begin of this week I spoke with Dr. McCormick's office and they said they would get a referral so I could have the blood work done locally. As of this am I have not received confirmation. So what number would you give to the Administrative or IT Departments that should be responsible for preventing this? Roger Dibble 414-615-2750

We liked the time that was taken to explain all the details and options for each cancer. There was no rush to get out, and each team member we heard from was very positive about the procedure to be completed and the overall willingness to take questions at the meeting and also after the meeting if any should come to mind. I arrived early Thursday morning, 07-27-2023 about 09:20 AM to have a CT Scan for Dr McCormick to evaluate to determine the status of my cancer... This was a three-month follow-up visit... I was through with the scan by 10:00 AM... My appointment with Dr McCormick wasn't until 01:45 PM therefore I had three hours, forty-five minutes to wait with nothing to do... I decided to go ahead and check in with Dr McCormick's office and let them know that I was on-site just in case he had a cancellation or some slack time they could work me in perhaps a little early.... The receptionist immediately contacted Dr McCormick and he immediately admitted me for our visit... I was elated,,, Not only did he have great news to share with me but I was also able to make it back home in Brunswick by 12:30... I especially like and appreciate the patient's personal portal used by Baptist Hospital... This trip my portal was updated before I could even get home... GREAT FACILITY,,, GREAT DOCTORS

Both my surgeon, Dr. McCormick, and the radiologist I met with were excellent , explaining the options with clarity and care. The surgery was scheduled very quickly and Dr. McCormick did an excellent job. My sole reason for not giving a 10 is that I was scheduled for an MRI and, when I went for it, I was told that I was scheduled on the wrong machine and the correct machine was already booked. This occurred just a day before my planned surgery and threw the surgery into question. The staff was able to schedule the MRI across the street later that same day, which was a relief, but the scan was not done properly and the surgeon had to make do with less information than he requested. Whether through better training or other means, events such as this need to be eliminated for the hospital to be a top-tier institution.

Everybody I had contact with was amazing. Especially because I thought I had cancer. Everyone was professional and acted as if they really care about me personally. I will highly recommend Dr Mccormick and the whole process. I loved having the nurse navigator when I had questions. That is such a awesome idea to have one person to call to help with available services. I had anxiety issues thinking I had cancer and was referred to a psychologist to help. Then just week I got the best news of my life inspite of having suspicious tumor on kidney after removing tumor and Pathology report IM CANCER FREE. What great news. Thanks so much MD Anderson and all parts of my team. No complaints what so ever. You guys were great and I tell everyone my experience. I'm a blessed man. God is good and I was lead to MD Anderson. I'm amazed how well it all worked out. I'm very impressed with service I received. Nothing but the best. Thanks again you have organization to be very proud of.

Everything! From the introductions to the care plan and the Q&A afterwards. Everyone we came in contact with was warm, caring, compassionate, very informative and eager to listen. I firmly believe this is exactly where I???m supposed to be to get the care I need. My wife and I left our initial visit with such an upbeat, positive and comforting feeling because of the sincere care from your entire staff. For this we sincerely can???t thank your entire team enough. Seeing the expression of relief on my wife???s face, because she NOW feels like I have a fighting chance at extending my life, was priceless and for this I???m so very grateful.

Dr McCormick and PA Lorrie were outstanding. They explained everything that was going to happen very clearly and answered all of my questions. The surgery was performed in a manner that would produce the best outcome. Dr McCormick was able to remove the tumor and allow me to keep my kidney.

Obviously when you have an appointment, you have a problem. I was concerned, scared, apprehensive and feeling that my life is going off the rails. The staff from the reception, to the patient coordinator, on to the doctor and his staff, and finally the lab all treated me as important and showed concern for my well being at every step. I feel like there is a great team standing behind me and guiding me through this scary situation. This really has helped during this first appointment. The facilities also create a great atmosphere for the patients to relax and deal.

MDAnderson Hospital meant so much to our family. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were where our son needed to be. Every one at MD Anderson was both professional and compassionate. Learning you have cancer is never good news, however everyone we encountered made us feel at ease.
