The building was clean, the service was very good, the doctor came in on time and was quick and efficient. I had several people check on me and all were very courteous and professional. Everything was explained in a way that I could understand and my options were explained. Overall, for having to go to a place that you would rather not have to go to, it was a good experience.

The Medical Staff at MD Anderson are an awesome group from check-in through the check-out process. Your front desk staff while checking in were very professional and helpful. Good work attitudes. Dr. Melquist's assistant who saw me before seeing Dr. Melquist was her usual self: Great attitude, showed concern with my kidney cancer recovery and answered a few questions I had very well. Then I saw Dr. Melquist. He went over my recent Catscan and bloodwork results and said he was pleased about my progress. He is a true consumate professional and genuine. If there is a Hall of Fame for cancer surgeons, he'd be voted in on the first ballot. I have transitioned over to Dr. Zaiden for my immune therapy treatment program. Getting to the facility was very easy and I quickly found a convenient parking spot. I felt welcomed and cared for from the literal moment I walked in the door. I was immediately greeted and given directions on where to begin the registration process. There was a warm hand-off anywhere I went. Every person acted like a team member and impressed upon me their commitment to making sure they were involved in my care and well-being. The medical staff was knowledgeable and competent. They took the time to explain what they were doing, why, and answered any questions I had. Everything appeared to be very clean and well-cared for. The overall environment was peaceful. The Chaplain came across the intercom and requested everyone join him in a moment of quiet reflection then he offered a brief prayer. As we were leaving the person we met with made sure to schedule several appointments with various doctors for upcoming tests, procedures, and follow-ups. She made sure the appointments fit my schedule and if there was any conflict she already had another option available. Everyone displayed the highest degree of compassion, competence, knowledge, care, teamwork, and commitment.

Having been ln upper management for many years, there were goals I set for employees pertaining to the customer. Many companies provide a similar service and have a plus or minus advantage. But the attitude of the customer / patient makes the difference. MD Anderson has a winning combination of caring for the patient, professional attitude of all employees, friendliness that puts people at ease . The team effect is great. Patient knows that they will be monitored and cared for through the process. Having had 2 different episodes with Classic Hodgkins Lymphoma and now being diagnosed with left Ureteral Carcinoma my Urologist suggested MD Anderson, and Dr, Melquist . Every contact made from walking through the door to leaving was a positive experience. My confidence level in Dr. Melquist, his team, and all participants in my care is very high. This is a well deserved 10.

My wife had a 9am arrival time and a 9:30 appointment with the doctor. After our almost 1 hour drive, parking, and up the elevator to the 5th floor she walked right up to the check in desk and was given some paperwork to hand to the medical assistant. She had barely started to fill it in when her name was called to go back "behind the doors". So surprised and thankful for the quality of all your staff (Baptist General). Everything runs so smoothly there and will always be thankful for the professionalism and quality of all your personal from the desk staff, to the medical assistants, nurses and of course the doctor. Very, very pleased.

I know that you have all the latest equipment, but for me the most noteworthy part of the whole procedure was the people. The doctors and nurses were all top-notch and their cheerful and optimistic attitudes made things a great deal easier. I must admit that when I went into the medical facility yesterday I felt like a cat on a trip to the vet. But by the time it was over, I had spoken not only with the doctor but with his PA, a nurse, and the "navigator" assigned to me. Everything was professional, informative, and transparent. My impression of the Baptist cancer network is that of a well-oiled machine.

When dealing directly with Dr Duboy and the staff, their treatment is outstanding. I did not give a 10 rating due to communications. It is difficult to get in touch with the staff with calls or emails. I have left messages for urgent matters and don't a response until days later. I have had to go into the office to get immediate attention. Once in the office I am treated very well.

I don???t think I have enough space to truly convey how thankful I am to be going to MD Anderson. All the staff and doctors I have encountered have made me feel so confident that I am getting the best care available anywhere. I feel very much at ease and relaxed. They make sure I understand my options and also provide information for me to educate myself and prepare me for any possible decisions I need to make regarding my care. From the first time meeting with Joyce who did all the intake and made me realize that I made the best decision going to MDA, and Lillian who is always responsive and quick to answer or address any questions or concerns I have, I am thankful I made the right decision regarding where I needed to go. Add to that Dr Mehlquist and Dr,. Mahmoud, they both have exceeded beyond my expectations in addition to past medical experiences I have had the compassionate care they provide. Another point I want to mention is the environment of the entire facility helps to provide a calming atmosphere.

The doctor had not read the lab report or looked at the CT scan before could into the exam room. He asked if I had questions and he didn???t really answer them. Just told me everything is fine and come back in six months. I expected a lot more from the doctors at MD Anderson.

I felt as if I wasn't a number and that when I had interaction with an individual I was never rushed. Everyone made me feel as if I was the only person that mattered at that time.

The people are professional and personable. There are options given and recommendations for your best treatment. I started at a hospital up the road on I 95 and was not offered the standard protocol and my cancer returned due to their negligence. Came to MD Anderson and was given the prescribed treatment by Dr M. and my cancer is gone.

Had a stent and a urine bag implemented on 10/27. Discharge instructions said follow up in 1 - 2 weeks. When we tried to make appointment, we were told follow up would be Dec 23. When we questioned the long time before follow up, the scheduler checked and responded that Dec 23 was the right date. So here is the problem: We were discharged with no instructions on how to care for the bag or wound. I was concerned that my wife might get an infection. I called nurse Debra on 11/8 who communicated with urology nurse. She said that patients often bought their own supplies. I told her that I had found the bag on Amazon but it would take several days. And I didn???t know what to buy to dress the wound. (I bought bag on Amazon and changed it). Urology had home health care visit our home. This far, they have made 3 visits. They changed wound bandage.each time. The bag is the one I bought and installed. No one ever asked if the drain worked. No one asked about the color of urine. No one asked about the patient. It is as if the surgery was all it took. No one bothered to ask us. We are most pleased with the quality of care at MD Anderson. I have said this is the premier cancer facility and this is where God wanted us to be (we moved here from Tennessee in April). I believe that our experience is an outlier and doesn???t represent others. Some sensitivity training seems appropriate as does a review of discharge instructions. The patient is doing well we have second chemo round Monday
