Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Assistant Nurse Manager position with Infusion Therapy and the Medical Oncology Clinic at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
An Assistant Nurse Manager in an outpatient medical oncology and infusion clinic starts the day balancing staffing and scheduling needs while ensuring the clinic is set up for safe, efficient patient care. Throughout the day, they support and coach the nursing team, troubleshoot workflow or patient-care issues, and collaborate closely with physicians and pharmacy. When needed, they step in clinically—assessing patients, starting IVs, and administering chemotherapy in accordance with established protocols. The role blends hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities, all focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate oncology care.

Assistant Nurse Manager responsibilities include:
Delegate tasks to nursing staff
Manage and checks the nursing schedule
Ensure all shifts are covered
Conduct assessments and performance reviews
Tend to patient care and assisting physicians throughout the day
Assistant Nurse Manager Experience:
3-5 Years Nursing Experience
1-2 years Oncology Experience
Oncology Infusion Experience Preferred
Education & Credential Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nursing Required
3-5 Years Nursing Experience
1-2 years Oncology Experience
Oncology Infusion Experience Preferred
Driver's License Required
