Job Summary
Advance your nursing leadership career as an Assistant Nurse Manager for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This full-time night shift leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in acute care and medical-surgical nursing.
As the Assistant Nurse Manager, you'll partner with the Nurse Manager to lead daily operations, mentor nursing staff, and ensure the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced progressive care environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with the daily operations and clinical leadership of the Med/Surg unit.
Lead, coach, and support Registered Nurses and patient care staff.
Promote safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care for adult medical and surgical patients.
Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, discharges, staffing assignments, and patient throughput.
Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient care and support interdisciplinary collaboration.
Drive quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
Provide direct patient care as needed while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
Experience
- Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Post-surgical nursing experience
- Progressive acute care nursing experience
- Charge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator, or other nursing leadership experience
Licensure & Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association
