Baptist Health is looking to add a Certified Medical Assistant to our Baptist Heart Specialists office at Mandarin Landing located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time opportunity.

The experienced candidate will be responsible for back office and front office tasks. This role includes rooming patients, triaging calls and handling referrals. Candidate must be flexible and adaptable, willing to support several departments in the office. Experience strongly preferred.

Certified Medical Assistant, Job Responsibilities:

• Provides nursing assistance to physician

• Obtains vital signs

• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit

• Maintains medical documentation

• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician

• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Experience Requirements:

• At least 3 years of Medical Assistant experience

• Medical Specialty experience Preferred

• EKG experience Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED Required

• Associate's degree Preferred

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
