Job Summary

Baptist health is hiring a Clinical Data Abstraction Specialist to join the Quality Management team. This is a full-time opportunity.

Abstracts & analyzes specific demographic and clinical information from the patient medical record to assess performance in defined quality measures, disease states, or other quality outcomes measures. Includes tracking of identified patient populations and data entry into defined data bases and timely submission based on established internal and external deadlines. Provides interventions through working key stakeholders increase compliance with best practices. Provides progress updates to key stakeholders on results when available. Provides education to the healthcare team on quality indicators/measures.

Position will focus on the chart abstraction for CMS and TJC quality metrics.

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years Clinical Nursing Experience

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) Preferred
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
