Cook I, Dietary, Nassau

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Full-Time Cook I to our Dietary team at Baptist Nassau. This is a Full Time opportunity working 6:00am-2:30pm days, with rotating weekends. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in multiple areas within the kitchen and be proficient in a variety of cooking techniques and production methods. ServSafe certification is a plus.

As a Cook I, you will be responsible for:

• Measuring, mixing, portioning and cooking according to provided recipes and production charts for Hospital at Home patients

• Performing clean, safe, and sanitary work in accordance with department policies

• Filling out all logs, production charts, cleaning schedules, etc assigned by management in accordance with department policies and procedures

• Cooling, packing, and labelling food for Hospital at Home meal delivery service

• Read recipes, safely utilize knives, braise, sauté, roast, and utilize other cooking skills as needed.

Experience Requirements:

• Less than 1 year Food Service Experience Preferred

• Less than 3-4 year Cooking Experience Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma (Preferred)

• ServSafe (Preferred)
