Baptist Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in our Ultrasound Department at Baptist South. This is a full-time opportunity with a shift of Friday, 9:00am - 9:30pm, Saturday & Sunday, 7:00pm - 7:00am.

At Baptist Health, our Diagnostic Medical Sonographers play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care through advanced imaging by performing high-quality ultrasound examination, assist physicians, and ensure the safety and comfort of patients (both adults and pediatrics) in a hospital setting.

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, responsibilities will include:

  • Performs high quality, diagnostic ultrasound and peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Promotes good will amongst co-workers and other departments and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
  • Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.

If hired, must pass certification in Sonography from the ARDMS or ARRT (S) within 18 months of hire date. Pediatric and ED experience is preferred.

  • 1-2 years Hospital based department-specific work experience
  • 1-2 years Customer Service Experience
  • Ultrasound Experience
  • Experience with vascular ultrasound
  • Experience working in a hospital setting

License and Certification

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
  • Registered Technologist in Sonography ARRT (S) Required Or
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Songrapher (ARDMS) Required Or
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Preferred Or
  • Registered Technologist in Vascular Sonography ARRT (VS) Preferred Or
