Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Health Unit Coordinator in our Emergency Department at our Baptist Nassau location in Fernandina Beach, FL.This is a Full-Time days position 36 hours a week with shifts of 7pm-7am.
The primary responsibilities of the HUC will be:
- Utilizing systems and devices for the distribution and dissemination of healthcare services, education, and information
- Integrating and maintaining video conferencings and or vital/signs monitoring systems for use of assessment, education, and patient care activities
- Monitoring patient data
- Performing clerical and secretarial activities of the nursing units
- Answering call lights and telephones promptly
- Ordering inventory of unit supplies and equipment
- Maintaining patient chart folders
- Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
- Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station
- Supporting Nurse Managers

Experience
- 1-2 years Experience working in a health care setting
License and Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
