Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Cardiology Department at Mandarin Landing in Jacksonville, Florida. This opening is a full-time opportunity.
This position is for the Baptist Cardiology at our Mandarin Landing office. The experienced candidate will be responsible for back office and front office tasks. This role includes rooming patients, triaging calls and handling referrals. Candidate must be flexible and adaptable, willing to support several departments in the office.
Medical Assistant, Job Responsibilities:
Provides nursing assistance to physician
Obtains vital signs
Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
Maintains medical documentation
Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
Processes prescription requests and referrals
Experience Requirements:
2 years Patient Care Experience
Experience in Physician's office
Education & Credential Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Required
Associate's degree Preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
