Baptist Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Endocrinology South office located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Monday-Friday from 7:00AM-3:30PM.
The ideal candidate will perform back-office clinical support, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting providers. The candidate should also be a strong team player.
Medical Assistant, Job Responsibilities:
- Provides medical assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedule care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
- Educate patients
Experience Requirements:
- 2+ years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
Education & Credential Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant Strongly Preferred
