Job Summary
We are looking to add a Medical Assistant II at Baptist Pulmonary Specialists in Fernandina Beach, Florida. This opening is a full-time opportunity.
This position is for Baptist Pulmonary Specialists Nassau in Fernandina Beach. The position is for back office. The experienced candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, performing blood draws and assisting one provider. Pulmonary experience preferred.
As a Medical Assistant II, you will be responsible for:
- Provides nursing assistance to physicians
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Telephone triage
- Updating, recording, and filing medical information and forms
- Maintains medical documentation
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Incoming faxes orders, medication refill, inquiry/request
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
Education & Credential Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Associate's Degree Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
