Job Summary
Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join our laboratory at Baptist ED St. Augustine. This is a PRN opportunity, covering nights and weekend shifts as needed.
Medical Lab Scientist II, Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain expertise and perform technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in one or more laboratory sections
- Maintain records of performance as defined in the laboratory's general and sectional policy and procedure manuals
- Maintain records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals.
- May instruct new employees and students.
- Supervised by Director and Section Supervisors, however, can perform all responsibilities of this job description without on-site supervision
Experience Requirements:
- 5 Years Clinical Laboratory Experience
Education & Credential Requirements:
- Associate's degree Required
- Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
- Bachelor of Science (non-Nursing)
- Licensed Medical Technologist Required
- Certified Medical Technologist (MT) Preferred
