Job Summary
Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Lab Scientist II to join our team at Baptist Emergency Department St. Augustine! This is a part-time, day shift opportunity! This candidate will work Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM - 1:30 PM. This is a great opportunity at our freestanding emergency department!
This Medical Lab Scientist II will be supervised by the Director and Section Supervisors, however, they can perform all responsibilities of this job description without on-site supervision. This candidate must hold a valid Medical Technologist - Generalist license in the State of Florida and have atleast two years of experience as a Medical Lab Scientist.
As a Medical Lab Scientist II, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the expertise and performing technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in one or more laboratory sections
- Maintaining records of performance as defined in the laboratory's general and sectional policy and procedure manuals
- Maintaining records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals.
- Instructing new employees, MT, and MLT students.
