MRI Technologist, MRI Department, PRN, Baptist ED North

Baptist Health is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our MRI Department at our Baptist ED North location. This MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI exams on patients, insuring high quality diagnostic procedures and patient safety. In addition to performing MRI exams on patients this MRI Technologist will prepare patients for MRI exams and explain the procedure. The MRI Technologist will work closely with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information. This MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment. This is a PRN, various shifts position.

As an MRI Technologist, responsibilties will include:

• Performing high quality (MRI) procedures.
• Promoting good will amongst co-workers and other departments and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
• Maintain compliance with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Taking every precaution to protect self, patient and others from potential harm relating to the magnetic field.
• Identifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state, and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy.

• Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT (MR) Required Or
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required

Baptist Emergency at Dunn Avenue

The Baptist North Emergency Center is located at the northeast intersection of 295 and Dunn Avenue.  The center is planning to open in late fall of 2016 and will bring the high-quality care of Wolfson Children's Hospital and Baptist Health to residents of northwest Jacksonville.  This emergency center will be open 24 hours a day, has 16 treatment rooms, a separate waiting room for children, children specific medical equipment and imaging capabilities, a LifeFlight helipad and an on-site ambulance.  Pediatric emergency medical physicians affiliated with Wolfson Children's Hospital are also available during peak hours daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.  With a focus on wellness, the campus's three story Medical Office Building will feature a YMCA on the first floor with a Healthy Living Center.  The Medical Office Building has primary care an specialist physicians' offices that are open throughout the year, providing northside families with a "one-stop" destination for a wide array of care.
