Job Summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Nurse Manager position with the Medical Bridge Clinic at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL.

The Medical Bridge Clinic is an innovative new outpatient concept being introduced to the Baptist Health system and the Jacksonville community. This adults-only, referral-based clinic is designed to provide timely, scheduled care for patients who visit the ER with non-urgent needs — helping to reduce emergency room volumes and improve access for high-acuity patients. This unique Referral-Only Model will take in patients as they are referred directly from the ER by a designated coordinator. Eligible patients will be scheduled for appointments within 24–72 hours. This clinic supports both BMC ER and ED Free Standing North locations.

Key Services Include: Vaccinations, Pregnancy testing, Stitches and minor procedures, Other non-emergent care needs.

The Nurse Manager for the Medical Bridge Clinic is accountable for providing leadership, oversight, and coordination of all clinical and operational functions within a clinic that operates 7 days per week, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. This leader ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care by supervising a multidisciplinary clinical team—including RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants, and Certified Nursing Assistants—and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Nurse Manager responsibilities include:

• Delegate tasks to nursing staff
• Manage and checks the nursing schedule ensuring all shifts are covered
• Conduct assessments and performance reviews
• Tend to patient care and assisting physicians throughout the day
• Directs workflow to optimize patient throughput, staff productivity, and clinic efficiency.
• Monitors and manages clinical resources, ensuring availability and appropriate use of equipment and supplies.
• Identifies operational issues and implements timely solutions that support quality patient care.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory, safety, and organizational standards.

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Education Preferred

Master's Degree - Nursing

Experience

• 3-5 Years Nursing Experience

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
