Baptist Medical Center is hiring an Office Specialist I for the Behavioral Health Outpatient Department.. This is a PRN days - FLOAT opportunity working from 8:30am to 5:00pm in office and will help cover Baptist campuses throughout NE Jacksonville.

The Office Specialist will support the Behavioral Health Department to accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information for maintenance of accurate information. This position requires an individual who can multitask and obtains excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills and a previous experience in clerical work.

Office Specialist, Job Responsibilities:

• Providing business services for patients and the healthcare system.
• Ensuring accurate patient registration.
• Posting patient charges and payments.
• Operating a multi-line phone system while maintaining telephone protocols.
• Assisting patients as needed.

Experience Requirements:

• 1-2 years Front Desk Experience
• Experience working in a Medical Office

Education and Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma (required)
• Associate of Arts/Science (preferred)
