Job Summary

Baptist Health is seeking to add a Pediatrics Pulmonary Supervisor to Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, night shift opportunity.

At Baptist Health, the Pulmonary Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of the Pulmonary Department and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality respiratory care. This role provides clinical support, evaluates employee performance, assists with the evaluation of new equipment, and serves as a clinical resource to respiratory therapy and other clinical staff.

Pediatrics Pulmonary Supervisor Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily activities of the Pulmonary Department, provide clinical support, evaluate employee performance, and serve as a clinical resource to respiratory therapy and other clinical staff.

  • Ensure safe, effective, and high-quality respiratory care while providing education and support to patients and their families.

  • Deliver respiratory care medications and perform advanced respiratory procedures, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, intubation, and bronchoscopy.

  • Perform arterial, venous, and capillary blood sampling, including analysis and interpretation of results, as well as EKGs and other assigned clinical procedures.

  • Participate in emergency and critical care services, including code team response and the transport of critically ill ventilated and non-ventilated patients.

  • Support quality improvement initiatives by identifying quality goals, participating in data collection and evaluation, and assisting with the assessment of new respiratory care equipment.

  • Maintain proficiency in all areas of respiratory therapy within assigned responsibilities and perform other duties as assigned.

​Pediatrics Pulmonary Supervisor Education & Credential Requirements:

  • Associate of Science Required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Required

  • Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist-DOH Required
