Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days Referrals Coordinator to join our Outpatient Rehab Patient Access Department in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Shift Details: Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

The Referral Coordinator will be interacting with staff, patients, internal departments, physician practices, and insurance companies to obtain maximum reimbursement. The employee will be responsible for insurance eligibility and obtaining authorizations for BPC, BPE, Baptist Specialty Offices and Imaging. The expectation is to have completed around 30-50 authorizations in a day. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills. The candidate must be able to accurately complete verification of insurance benefits and authorizations using online tools and/or direct contact with insurance carrier. Patients should be registered in a timely, accurate, and professional manner which reflects the core values of Baptist Health.

As a Referrals Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing referral assistance to physicians, patients, and insurance companies.
  • Scheduling appointments, obtain authorizations, and collect patient responsibilities at the time of scheduling.

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • High school diploma (or higher) Required
