Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. This is a full-time, evening shift opportunity with a 36-hour per week commitment, working 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM. As the only hospital-based, 24-hour emergency service serving the beach communities, Baptist Beaches delivers comprehensive, high-tech medical and surgical care close to home. Our Emergency Department plays a vital role in caring for a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical needs.

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will:

Provide safe, effective nursing care to patients with acute medical, surgical, and emergent conditionsAssess, monitor, and reassess patient conditions and responses to treatmentEducate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and plans of careCollaborate closely with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teamsCoordinate care with ancillary and support servicesAdvocate for patients and ensure a positive patient experienceParticipate in staff meetings, shared governance, and unit-based initiatives

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Experience• 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience• Emergency Department Experience Preferred• Hospital Experience• Telemetry Experience

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Education• Associate of Science in Nursing Required• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, Licenses and Certifications• Licensed Registered Nurse Required• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred• Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
